In this section we will be looking at what is out there to buy.
We will be doing fun and factual reviews and testing some of the cameras on the market.

As this is our first edition we thought it would be fun to look at some high tech stuff....almost something that James Bond would be chuffed to be seen out and about with. Both cameras have something about them which is just a bit different. Not for everybody, it must be said, but fun to mention anyway.

Firstly THE WORLD'S FIRST 3D DIGITAL IMAGING SYSTEM

The Fujifilm finepix real 3D camera. £430

It is a bit chunkier than most compacts as it features 2 CCD sensors (10 megapixels each) and 2 lenses (each one featuring a 3X optical zoom)...impressive eh!

Although it sounds like great fun shooting 3D images, the slight snag might come when you want to view the photos. You can look at the pictures on the display at the back of the camera (You don't need the special 3D glasses) but if you want to see them bigger then you would have to invest another £370 for a digital viewer.

Also when it comes to printing the images, they have to be sent to Japan and there is no price available for them as yet.

Our second camera to review is
Nikon Colpix S1000PJ

It is available in silver or black at £399.99

Nikon claims it is the WORLD'S FIRST ULTRA COMPACT WITH BUILT IN PROJECTOR

It really has a projector built into the camera. All you need is a large expanse of white (like a wall) and you can project your photos straight from your camera, giving your friends a large scale slide show.

Both cameras look like a bit of fun don't they?....but are they just a gimmick?

Next time we will be much more down to earth and sensible and be looking at compact cameras for under £200
